Use this when camera/mic prompts are stuck or extension permission state is inconsistent.
Full Reset Process #
- Remove MyVideo.Email extension from Chrome.
- Go to chrome://settings/content/camera and …/microphone.
- Remove blocked/old permission entries related to MyVideo.Email flows.
- Open chrome://extensions and confirm extension is removed.
- Reinstall extension (Web Store or Load Unpacked).
- Open extension and log in.
- Click Enable Camera and allow camera/mic.
- Complete helper permission flow (if tab opens), then click Finished.
Verify Success #
- Camera preview appears
- Microphone input is detected
- Recording starts/stops normally
Extra Cleanup (If Needed) #
- Test in new Chrome profile
- Temporarily disable conflicting extensions
- Restart browser/OS before retest
